Overview:
Since
its inception, Church planting was the major focus
of PGT. We have churches among most of all the communities
in the project area. At present we have 240 local
Churches, 300 home Churches and many others are in
the budding stage. Unlike other parts of the world,
our Churches greately requires support for the building
construction.
How
Church Building is important for PGT:
In
the PGT mission field where the Good News of the Gospel
is spreading rapidly, the need for church buildings
is growing constantly.Once a church is planted the
next need is a place to gather together and worship
the Lord. These congregations will be greatly benefited
through having a public and permanent church structure.
We have many churches gathering in temporary tents,
rented rooms and houses of believers. Most of the
believers are from poor background hence they are
unable to contribute to the building funds.
Here
are a few reasons why the church building is so important
for the "homeless congregations" in our
area:

Basic protection from the elements
•
Gives the ministry an “established” presence
in the community
•
Becomes a central sending-out point for evangelism
•
Enables church to host community events
•
Directly impacts ministry potential
•
Enhances witness to unbelievers
How
do we construct Church Buildings:
Our
missionaries are doing a great work in the villages.
And therefore we are in need of church buildings in
many places. PGT often constructs the church
buildings with the funds offered by the people like
you. Yet there are many places remaining without a
church building.
Temporary Church Shed:
In
the remote villages hardly we find a house for rent.
This is becoming a great problem when there are 15
to 20 people are coming forward to gather together.
Such places we will need temporary sheds for fellowship
when the people start coming on a regular basis. It
will have cemented floor, half wall with bricks, tin
sheeted roof. There are many new places where they
need temporary church sheds. The cost of a temporary
shed is $650.
